Privacy policy

This page explains what personal data we collect on holdmywp.com, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It’s short on purpose.

1. Who we are

holdmywp.com is operated by Quentin Le Duff, a sole trader (Entreprise individuelle), SIREN 820673903. You can contact us through the contact page.

2. What we collect and why

When you buy a plugin

When you order (for example Updatronix 3000), we collect:

  • your name, billing address and email address
  • your payment details and IP address

We use this data to:

  • process your order and send invoices
  • confirm your purchase and deliver the download
  • prevent fraud
  • meet our legal obligations (such as keeping accounting records)

When you leave a comment

We collect the data you enter in the comment form, plus your IP address and browser user agent, to detect undesirable comments.

An anonymized hash of your email may be sent to Gravatar to display your profile photo. Comments are also checked by an automated spam detection service.

When you contact us

We keep the data you send us through the support or contact form, so we can answer your request and follow up.

3. Payment

Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We don’t store your card details. Stripe collects its own identifying information about your device to process payments and detect fraud. See Stripe’s privacy policy for how they handle it.

4. Cookies

We use a few cookies to keep the site working — no analytics, advertising or social media cookies.

The main ones:

  • Stripe: __stripe_sid (30 min), __stripe_mid (1 year)
  • WordPress: wordpress_logged_in_* (2 weeks or until logout), wordpress_test_cookie (session), wp_lang (session)
  • Comments: remember your name, email and site for one year, so you don’t retype them

5. Who we share data with

We don’t sell your data, and we don’t share it with anyone except:

  • Stripe, to process payments
  • Gravatar, to show your profile photo next to comments
  • our spam detection service, to check comments

6. How long we keep data

Comments and their metadata are kept indefinitely. Order and payment data is kept for as long as the law requires — in France, accounting records are kept for at least 10 years.

7. Your rights

You have the right to:

  • access a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • ask us to correct or delete your data
  • ask us to stop using your data

You can request an exported file of your data through the contact page. Note that we can’t delete data we’re legally required to keep.

8. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. We’ll post the changes on this page.
